Jacksonville Jaguars (+260) at New England Patriots (-320) (-7.5/48)
I'm very disappointed in this line. I thought the Jags were going to win the Super Bowl for past few months and now Tom Brady's hand has caused the Jags to lose some value. The line opened at 8.5 in most places and I even saw 10 on some websites. Now it is down to 7.5. With Tom Brady's hand and the realistic possibility that the Jags knock off the Pats because their defense rushes the quarterback well, it makes sense the line went down. Even with the line headed down, I am sticking with my team. I think Tom Brady turns the ball over 3 or more times against that defense.
I like the Jags to cover and win, 20-13.
Minnesota Vikings (-155) at Philadelphia Eagles (+135) (+3/38.5)
As a Packer fan I cannot cheer for the Vikings. But if this team wasn't an NFC-North rival to the Packers, I would actually admit that they are a Super Bowl favorite. Even with Case Keenum. I though the Saints were better than them, I was right, but they had magic on their side. They finished the season 4th in team efficiency, the only team in the top 5 in both offensive and defensive DVOA. They are 11-6 against the closing line this season (including last week's loss against the closing line because they didn't kick the extra point). But the Eagles are also 11-6 against the spread, including winning last week as home dogs. However, that was the Eagles only win against the spread since Nick Foles began starting as quarterback and since then they haven't eclipsed 20 points. I don't see how this offense scores 20 against this Viking defense. The only way the Eagles win is if they cause a bunch of Case Keenum turnovers...
I like the Vikings to cover, 27-13.
